Well, another year and another ModelKraft over and done with. So just a quick little word.
The sight of weary club members on early Sunday evening at the end of the knock down of the show, was a sign of a busy day was had by all. The first thing I would like to do is thank all the club members involved with the planning and setting up of the show along with their hard work. Without them the show would not have be the success it is. Secondly, the club would like to thank all of the traders, clubs and SIG's that came to ModelKraft on Sunday, your being here at the show is always appreciated. Are we all ready for next years show?
But before we think about that, back to this years show. As in the previous shows which I have been involved with, the quality of workmanship displayed on the club and SIG stands was at the high standard as normal. Thank you to all for bringing your models to the ModelKraft for everyone to see the results of many hours of work that goes into them. I hope that you got their models to and from the show without any damage to them (I usually damage something myself). Everyone who I spoke to on the day, exhibitors, traders and visitors, all said how they had enjoyed their day at the show and were looking forwards to next year. During the time I spent in the entrance foyer, there was a steady steam of people coming past, with plenty of carrier and black bags full of items purchased from the traders. Pray none of you got in trouble for spending too much money!
The competition results from this years show have been posted on the appropriate page below. Well done to all of the winners and their hard work. From what I was told by the members running the competition room, there was some tough classes to judge because of the top quality of models entered. A thanks must go out to all who volunteered to do the judging.
Photographs from this years show will be posted soon, once they have been sorted through and a presentation has been created. So keep watching this space for an update.
Now to next year's show. So far a date has not been decided on yet, but it will most likely be the same weekend as normal. As soon as a date is set, the details will be announced on the club's website and the planning can start all over again. So until next years show, happy modelling.
Mick
