Daredevil
Resin kit from Frontier Models.
Scale 1 : 6
This kit is almost one piece, apart from separate arms and weapons. The quality of casting is almost the best I have ever seen, with very little work required for assembly and pre-paint preparation.
The figure was screwed to a temporary base of medium density fibre – MDF and
the whole figure was primed with Halfords white primer.
After masking the face, a spray coat of Humbrol Orange 82 and Scarlet 60 was applied. This turned out to be far too orange but I persevered as follows:
A mix of burnt sienna, crimson alizarin and cambium red was vigorously brushed to sectioned areas such as torso and dry brushed back to let the light undercoat shine through. The oil over the matt undercoat makes for a good leather look.
The overall look was still too light and orange so I repeated the process with brunt sienna to leave a brown burgundy look.
The face was painted matt flesh-white and toned with white, flesh tone and buff oils, green speckled for that unshaven look.

The base is MDF pieces glued and painted, with Milliput claws and moulding to the frieze.
