Richard Adkins

I started modelling as a teenagerbecause my fatherwas into remote control aircraft and included me in his ventures. Well, that was until other interests took over like fishing,football and girls!

After settling down and starting a family, and getting fed up with breaking the ice on the fishing lakes in winter, I saw an advert in the local paper for Milton Keynes Scale Model Club. I decided to go along and check it out. The members wereall very welcoming, encouraging and willing to pass on lots of their knowledge to someone drifting back into the hobby (thanks lads).

I have now been an active member with the club since 1995, being elected to the comittee and very proud to be asked to be the chairman in 2010.
