ModelKraft Competition Rules

There will be Gold, Silver, Bronze and Highly Commended awards in each class. Special merit awards may be given at the judge’s discretion.


  1. All work entered must be the work of the named persons only.
  2. Models may be displayed on a plain base.
  3. Only the model will be judged; any accessories other than on the model itself will be ignored (unless entered into the Diorama class).
  4. Any model not attached to a base must be clearly marked to avoid accidental damage.
  5. Any material may be used in the models’ construction, however any medium other than the kits original material must be listed i.e. etched brass used on a plastic kit.
  6. The entrants name must not be displayed on the model or entry form (it must be covered if forming part of the title plaque on the model)
  7. The best in show will be judged from all class winning models in the competition.
  8. A junior modeller will be any person under the age of 16 on the day of the competition. Proof may be required as to age where someone looks older than they are.
  9. Any item deemed to be of an offensive nature will be disqualified from entering the competition.
  10. No model must be removed from the competition area until 4pm, as this will give the public a chance to see the respective winners of each class.
  11. Entry in the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these rules. The judge’s decision will be final and dialogue on decisions will not be entered into.
  12. Any questions relating to the above rules should be put to the competition secretary at least 1 hour before judging commences.
  13. Whilst we will endeavor to take due care of any models displayed in the competition area we must point out that all models are entered at the owners risk.
  14. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in disqualification.
